01

Describe what you see

Know what to expect before sending a request to NJ Roof Pros. Our free SoleSource Pros referral service introduces New Jersey homeowners to one independent, licensed and insured roofer. We do not diagnose roofs, dispatch emergency crews or require you to buy roofing services.

You do not need to know whether a repair or replacement is appropriate. Explain the visible concern, when it began and where the property is located.

The roofer must assess the roof before recommending work; a form description cannot reveal concealed damage. Ground-level photographs and a note about when leaks appear are genuinely useful.

02

Review the contractor's offer

Ask about assessment charges before booking, then review the proposed materials, roof areas, exclusions, cleanup and payment terms. Confirm who will obtain any required approvals from your town's construction office.

Request current insurance and the contractor's New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs registration number directly from the business on the proposal. Home improvement contractors in New Jersey must register, and the number should appear on contracts and advertisements.

03

Stay safe around an active leak

When it is safe, move belongings away from water and put a container beneath the drip. Avoid wet electrical fixtures, sagging ceilings and unsafe attic areas. Stay off ladders and the roof.

A request marked urgent is not an emergency dispatch; seek appropriate emergency help if people or property face immediate danger. After a nor'easter, downed wires and unstable trees are utility and emergency matters, not roofing-referral matters.

One short request, matched to a participating contractor who serves your area.

04

Keep coverage questions with your insurer

Your insurer decides coverage under your policy. Ask it about reporting deadlines, photographs and other documentation.

A roofer's estimate does not establish reimbursement, and NJ Roof Pros cannot promise that repairs or replacement will be covered. Keep receipts for any authorized temporary protection and share them with your insurer as it directs.

05

Request handling and corrections

A private backup preserves the submission, and the Lead Gen CRM handles forwarding and notifications. The matched roofer receives the information needed to respond.

To correct a detail, identify the earlier request in a new form message. For privacy matters, label the description 'Privacy request' and see our Privacy page.
